Tutor: Antra Svarcs
This segment is a part of my Illustration for Narrative elective during my masters. I’ve always been fascinated by illustrations, and how the composition of lines, colouring and placement could affect the complete narrative. Amelie is the Hero is part of the ‘Heroes’ assignment, where we had to re-imagine an on-screen character in a heroic manner. Growing up with rose-tinted lens for Amelie, I imagined her internal dialogue with her love interest Nino prior to their actual meeting. Below, I depicted her rescuing Nino in your classic knight-in-shining-amour ways. Gender flipping the roles was pretty fun!
